Five things we learned from Hard Knocks First Episode

By Yusuf Nakhooda

The must anticipated first episode of Hard Knocks debut, on HBO was highly anticipated as usual. Here are five things we learned from the first episode.

1.) Dak Prescott has no quit in him. When Dad pulled his shoulder, which had Cowboys fans and his team hold his breath, there he was still with the team running and didn’t want to come out. This man has heart and soul, and do anything to make his team better. His teammates see this in him, and is shown in training camp so far.

2.) Ezekiel Elliott can’t wrap birthday presents. Dak Prescott’s best friend on the team is Ezekiel Elliott, and on Dak’s birthday he had the daunting task of wrapping Dak’s birthday present. After much struggle with it he finished the project, even getting help from Momma Zeke and You Tube which didn’t help. A knock on the door, and it was Dak which almost spoiled the surprise.

3.) Mica Parsons want’s to play every down on every play. Many pundits and fans weren’t happy when the Cowboys selected Parsons with their first pick in the draft and 11th overall, but glad they did. He has shown through training camp, and in the Hall of Fame game vs the Steelers this man is the real deal. Now lets not put him up there with Sean Lee, but he is close. Was evident how he recovered the fumble, as well as in Practice. Even when he gets beat on a play, he comes back and shuts his man down.

4.) Daks Second Surgery. Usually when the media is given full access to the team, we find out things that teams don’t report to the media initially. When the first episode started, Dak revealed that he had a second surgery. which nobody knew about. Thats the great thing about the Hard Knocks Series, fans get a insight into the team we don’t usually know.

5.) Slim and Trim Zeke: Zeke was the big focus on the first episode, as was evident with his close relationship with his best friend, Dak Prescott as well as his off season work out regimen, which has seen him lost weight, and his slim and trim. Elliott’s new physique has been the topic of conversations these few months, and its interesting to see how many games he starts in the preseason, if any.
